iNAPS Announces a Supervision Learning Collaborative Opportunity

Are you interested in strengthening the peer workforce by learning, mastering, and sharing the art of peer supervision?


The National Association of Peer Supporters (iNAPS) in partnership with Optum is pleased to announce a series of webinars and smaller group collaborative sessions devoted to improving the supervision of peer workers.


This Learning Collaborative is open to supervisors of peer workers who want to learn, strengthen, and apply core competencies related to peer support and to their position as a supervisor.


The Learning Collaborative will meet virtually (via Zoom) beginning in October 2020 and continuing through March 2021.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn from plenary sessions led by national leaders in the field of peer support services and participate in online smaller group discussions with supervisors from across the country.

 The webinars will be live for all participants on Mondays from 1-2:30 PM (Eastern Time), October 5, November 9, December 7, 2020 and February 1, and March 1, 2021. All webinars will be recorded and available for later viewing. The Learning Collaborative team will host the virtual smaller group discussion sessions between each webinar.


The Learning Collaborative has the following educational objectives:

  • · Learn and hone skills of supervision
  • · Increase understanding of the varieties of peer support practices
  • · Develop a working knowledge of the National Practice Guidelines for Peer Specialists and Supervisors
  • · Acquire practical tools that promote peer support integration in the organization
  • · Connect with others who have similar goals and challenges 
  • · Investigate formation of an ongoing Community of Practice for peer support supervisors
